Funny screen on the desktop

I have Windows XP pro installed on my PC and my video adapter is
Nvidia Geforce2 MX400. I have the lastest drivers but the problem is
that sometimes when I open any folder and close it again, I get a strange
screen on my desktop which hides most of my desktop and I cant see
any icons unless I hit on Show Desktop tab in my quick launch.
I am really tired of this because if I have to get rid of this strange screen,
I have to reboot my PC.
I dont know if anyone has ever faced this problem but if anyone knows
a solution then I will be thankful.

Mustafa

Re: Funny Desktop Picture

Hey,

Do this:

Start -> Run -> MSConfig

On the right hand side click on the startup tab
take a check out of everything in the list, and reboot.

If the problem goes away, then you know it's a program thats running
in your background that is causing the problem.

I get the same problem when I occasionaly open a window the screen fills with a grey colour. I can still switch to and see windows though, and by closing them all the desktop reappears.
