It's not YaBB ect. but it's free, and reliable.

Or why not use phpbb http://www.phpbb.com
and use tripod as host, http://www.tripod.co.uk

ok i have registered on tripod.co.uk but when i try to login using my ftp client it keeps saying Access Denied even though my user name & password are right :S, can somebdy help plz

From Lycos web help:
# Password: this is the FTP password you created when registering with Lycos Tripod. You must set your FTP client to passive (PASV) mode. Only this mode will enable you to connect to Lycos Tripod server.

Click HELP on the top of the page and search for FTP in all categories, it gives some more ideas on fixing this problem
