force Nero to show REAL speed

ever wondered why a CD is not completed twice as fast on 48x then on 24x ?

simple reason 48x is the max speed of the burner - means he does only burn at that speed in the outer regions of a CD
so how does my burner perform?
just apply this littel reg tweak and nero will show the REAL speed:

nerospeed.reg Wrote:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ahead\Nero - Burning Rom\Recorder]
"ShowSingleRecorderSpeed"=dword:00000001

copy those lines into a text file and rename it to <something>.reg the double click and done. ( don't forget the 2 spaces below last line)
next burn you will se how fast ur burner really is.

my CWD088D starts @ 21x up to 49x

a must-have! *smile*

so, maybe u know why i can´t install my nero?
it´s always telling me, that the shareware period is over...
so i started searching the registry for nero entries, everything i found was deleted, than i let tweak xp run through my reg, everything deleted again it found.....
but i can´t install nero anymore?
wtf

any ideas?

btw:i don´t wanna make a new windows install :-)

(i should take time to tune up my Suse a little bit and then throw this Win in a BIG Trashcan)
