dumb move.

hello guys..got a questionn hopefully its not as bad as i think it is.
i installed a fanbus and when i was trying to figure which fan is in what knob, my wedding ring touched thered n black post in the molex n my pc rebooted.(stupid me left the pc on when i was interchanging fan switches)anyways...
when i turn on my pc sometimes my harddrive clicks n when this happens my bios cannot detect my harddrives.ill reset it n it will detect it.
sometimes i have to reset multiple times to have it detected.did i srew up my HD or what?
is there sny programs out there to find out if my HD is failing?sould i return my HD n just say that its malfunctioning? pls help.TY.

Yeah probably a stortage caused by your ring damaged the HD.
I don't know if it damaged more parts but it doesn't look like it from
what you say. It would be good to return it i suppose.
