Doesnt work :-(

Ive downloaded it, but it wont install due to the windows xp certification, normally it would say continue or cancel, this time it just stops, no continue option.
IM RUNNING xp sp1

Did you download the whole package or just the update, because i also have XP with SP1 and it did install fine, but i did use the installer from the whole package and not just the 8.2 update .exe

FYI, Windows XP SP1 changed the way certificates are used, there are a bunch of things that would install pre-SP1, but not anymore.

unzip your directx/directplay 8.2 update exe, and u can install on xp sp1.

I'm running Win XP SP1 and i just double clicked on the update exe (no installer appeared to run), rebooted and the updates had been installed and version of DirctX shown as 8.2 (4.o8.02.0134).. no problem!
