install 28.90's

unzip them...go to "update driver" in your device manager, choose "specify location", click on the unzipped 28.90's...will prompt you to restart. you are done. Big Grin a couple of ways to do it but that one works good most of the time. good luck. these drivers ROCK.

true, anisotropic filtering sux big time Sad
I never had a Nvidia card before (R8500) and was like WTF when I saw the huge performance drop so that even halflife was dropping below 20fps at 8x in certain cases and my ATI was at 99fps all the way with 16x anisotropic. but I dont want to change back to ATI since their cards make horrible graphic errors in certain games like arx fatalix demo or mechcommander2. I wish there were a 3rd manufaturer that could beat boths ATI and Nvidias ass.

Gf4 Ti4600 performance drop

Guys i think i know why one of you is getting arround 100 fps with ansiotropic filtering and the other is getting 20 at certain times, some games are more taxing on your processor and ram speed than your graphics card and cs seems to be one.
