you would just need a phone with builtin modem.
i can get online through my Sony Ericsson T310. it just requires some software from Sony ericsson's site.
but its not the cheapest way to get internet. gprs can get pricy.

but i believe most newer phones has a modem in them, just read the datasheets on the manufacturers sites.

why don´t you use WI-FI internet?
you should be able to connect everywhere (if the isp has good service)

wifi hotspots arent covering everywhere.
and most would be private, making it illegal to force yourself access to them.

Yup, no hotspots here. It is too troublesom for me to apply any phone line or broadband, cause i am studying in area a distance away from my hometown (oversea, still in the same country).

How do i connect the hand phone with my PC (irda? may be).

Thanks in advance.
