Catalyst 5.3 Released

http://www.driverheaven.net/#news70102

ATI has released Catalyst 5.3 for your downloading and testing pleasure.

And, the most interesting part of all:

OpenGL Version 2.0 Support

The CATALYST™ Software Suite introduces OpenGL Version 2.0 support. This version of OpenGL will be in line with the latest GL ARB approved specifications. New to this specification are GLSL, non-power-of-two-textures, separate stencil, multiple render targets, and point sprites.

Let's see if they finally did OpenGL right.

The control center in the ccc version just won't launch, the control panel version works fine...

OpenGL games like Doom3 seem to run a bit faster on my "old" 9800pro now. I also get some few fps more in UT2k4, HL2 and CSS.
Image quality seems to be unchanged in these games...

I actually gained 10fps in Doom3 and went from 74fps to 99fps in the CS:S Stress Test.

That is also using the CCC version. These drivers are a keeper for me!

Had this problem, seems like you have to install Microsoft .NET Framework

Hope it works out for you!
