Wow, great. I assume that you can't wait for the PCI Express standard.

Recently I bought new video card (R9800SE@pro), and I decided to completely reinstall WindowsXP. I installed WinXP for the first time, installed DX9.0b drivers, Cats 4.7, via hyperion drivers... run 3dmard03... but 3dmark03 would occasionally break... not at some specific test, it used to broke sometimes at 1st test, sometimes at 3rd... When I installed XPSP1 (+ later applied all updates from windowsupdate.com), WITHOUT stupid Via Hyperion drivers, 3dmark works perfect Smile

BTW, Hyperion drivers made my computer score 4715 3dmarks compared to 5092 without hyperions.

Another thing... few months ago I had a conversation with Mertsch regarding installation of drivers for Audigy2 card - when updating drivers to EAX443, and the going to Diagnostics of A2 drivers (to detect sound card...) it would say Failed at first test (detection of sound card). Both me and Mertsch said the same thing about how I should update drivers - U did it right that time, but it still would not work! Now, I reinstalled windows from scratch, applied XPSP1 (+ updates from windowsupdate.com), installed drivers in proper order... and it works! Sound card detection works fine now. First time it was probably a little bit broken Windows + XPSP2 (RC1). That XPSP2 RC1 makes windows windows unoperable in some programs (cdrwin3.9 did not work (it workd fine under xpsp1), program from microsoft for defining custom keyboard character layout would not work too...). Hope that will be fixed in final version of XPSP2.

Bye
