burning problems with phillips 4801 cd-r/rw

windows xp pro sp1
phillips 4801 cd-r/rw

I am unable to burn any cds. I have tried fantom, easy cd 5 platinum, nero, and windows generic burning program. It gives me the error logical block address out of range. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this.

Try upgrading your....

Try upgrading the cdrw firmware and check the IDE cable, it could be damaged.Switching between MASTER-SLAVE could help too.
