BSOD with new Nvidia 45.23 drivers in Windows XP Pro SP1

I posted something about this the other day and it seemed as if it were related to switching between games too fast which caused the Blue Screen of Death...

Well here I am again but this time to report that I'm getting these constantly now and not even when doing anything, just all of a sudden.

I have an Asus A7N8X Deluxe v2.0 with all the latest drivers and the latest bios at 1005. You can see my signature for information...

It's associated with the nv4_disp.dll file and I've never had blue screens like this before this driver.

In the last week I've had about 20 some blue screens and before this driver I had never gotten one...

This is even a fresh install of Windows XP SP1 Pro and I have all the updates...

Anyone else with same set up and same problems???

Yes. I have. I'm back to the official 44.03 drivers. I had the same problems with the 45.23 drivers. My system would crash while playing a game, when I click on an icon or when switching games. Pretty much what you described happened to your system. I'll still try 'official' drivers as they are released just to see how they work with my setup, but I'm keeping the 44.03 drivers handy - just in case.... :o BTW, I have XP Pro installed.

I've had issues with these drivers as well. America's Army will crash to the desktop with an error after a few minutes of running with these drivers. Backing off to 44.03 fixed everything. Not a good debut for the 45.xx series and these were supposed to be WHQL Certified? What a joke. Lately, when I see WHQL certified and Nvidia I get a shiver. The last couple/few have been duds.

I agree...

I've gone back myself to the 44.03 drivers... Those 45.23 drivers are just way to buggy...

They obviously are fighting for resources with something else on my mobo combination...

But I can't figure out what???

Too many BLUE SCREENS...

Do they ever test their drivers???

First the 2.45 drivers for NFORCE 2 are crap and now the 45.23 drivers turn out to be crap...

Especially with an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe v2.0 motherboard... At least they are getting consistent... LOL LOL LOL
