Hi there.

I'm constantly trying to crank my machine in some way or other, and the only think I haven't really played with is the Bios. Now unfortunately, I have a Dell machine with an Intel 845 Chipset (http://www.super-restrictive.com), and not some wicked Asus or Via board  n' to top it off, I'm on XP so I can't use TweakBios (cause it's DOS only).

Has anyone found a tool, or way of unlocking the Bios (some sort of Advanced settings or something) so you can play with it?

Cheers!

Well, this is a Dell Optiplex GX240. I might be incredibly dumb here but it seems to be Dell's own brand Bios (if they have one!?). No Award or AMI labels anywhere. And it's not very tweakable. Bout the max I can do is change the AGP aperature size - apart from that it's practically just the boot device order

Does anyone know if it IS Dell's own brand Bios, or if it's an Award or AMI, can I reflash it with a non-cut down bios?

Tnx

This is _Legion_ from X-BIOS. Ray is just now adding some final touches to the site. We'll be back online in a few hours

Thanks to all who support Nvidia BIOS Collection.

Hmmm... Ok, so is there any way I can find out what my exactly chipset model is (ie. not just 845 chipset, but like, ermm, D846BG or whatever) and reflash with an Intel Bios?

If you are referring to "The Definitive BIOS Guide" it can be found at: http://www.rojak-pot.com/Speed_Demonz/Ne.../Index.htm
