Big probs with Leadtek 280leTD Ti4200 MyVIVO card....

Hi there - I'm new to this forum. Hope someone can help.

Just installed my new card. I'm quite happy with it although i have a few probs.
I like to regularly try out the new detonator drivers, but when i install new ones, all my games refuse to start. It will only let me use the supplied driver, and that is a version of the 3100 drivers!!
Tv Out works ok, although, damn, i wish my tv had a s-video input Smile
The biggest prob tho, is that video capture will not work at all.
When beginning to capture video, the puter blue screens, and i get the msg:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0xEDF8AF14)

nvcap.sys - Address EDF8AF14 base at EDF88000, Date Stamp 3d7cd4fb

Then all i can do is restart the puter again....

here are my system details, including IRQ allocations.

Win XP Pro w/ service pack 1 and directx 9 installed
Leadtek drivers + nvidia 1.19 WDM driver (ive tried 1.22 as well)

IRQs:
0 System Timer
1 Standard Keyboard blah blah....
3 ITE Virtual COM port
4 Com Port 1
6 Floppy Disk controller
8 System CMOS/real-time clock
9 MS ACPI-compliant system
10 US Robotics 56k voice win 1806
11 CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device
11 VIA Rhine 2 Fast Ethernet Adapter
11 WinFast A280 LE
12 USB Host controller
13 Numeric data processor
14 Primary IDE channel
15 Secondary IDE channel

All this on a Soyo K7V Dragon Plus mobo (the sound and Ethernet are on-board)
Never had any probs before with my last capture card, but i thought an all in one graphics/capture card would be a good way to go, oh well....

Hope someone can help

JimBob Smile

try using other drivers
WHQL'd ones

if that doesnt work, try using another operating system,
I think it might be residual drivers you had in there before

Try cleaning the registry of any old driver entry's
then you can do a clean install

PROBS PROBS PROBS

Hi there are several things u need to do firstly u need to install a little proggy called safe disk fix this will stop probs with games running safe disk u also need to run a refresh rate proggy avalible from warp i use nvrefresh tool 2.1 and it works great with all dets because it isn't dependant on the det driver and doesent run in the backround like some also try the 42.86 drivers my son had probs with all the others and now finds his graphiucs are great. also u might need to run det 30-40 fix it basically takes any old bits of the 30 drivers out of the system. U will also need to make sure ure power supply is 400watt i have seen so many of these probs with anything less also if u want to run bf 1942 u will need to g0o into the game and change a setting if u need more info on this give me a email at r_whitlock@hotmail.com 8) [/url]

safedisk?

he's having IRQ problems.

basicly, make sure theres no pci card using the pci slot next to the APG slot, since they share irq numbers.
then try to rearrange your pci cards - first uninstall the drivers.

UMM

IRQ maybe but software can cause the same prob as well. I sugest u go do some more reading about ms op systems that error fault he is having is the same fault that the first nvidia drivers gave with xp. So u saying it is IRQ only is not true (i am not rulling it out) but as i say that error line is normally to do with graphics drivers.

Thanx for the suggestions guys. As far as I know, the nvcap.sys file is independent of the detonators. Should i try some other capture drivers? The chip on board is a Philips 7108, so maybe i should see if there are any generic drivers floating around on the web. Id like to assign the graphics card its own IRQ, but with all the onboard stuff, im not quite sure how to go about that. There are no PCI cards straight under the AGP port. That's one tip a wise old man told me a long time ago Smile
I guess im jus pissed cos all the websites and zines that reviewed this card had no probs at all running it under XP, and when i get mine, i get nothing but trouble Smile
Any more suggestions are welcome - ima carry on tryin a few of these tips out.

Hey ppl
I to have the same probs with my Leadtek TI4800 MyVIVO
The nvcap file is for video capture
The only way i can use this card with out any probs is to use the drivers that came on cd with the card
I have tried a few things detonator drivers - omega drivers - newer leadtek drivers from the US site new install of the os but nothing works except the original drivers
My mates TI4200 is the same
I tried the leadtek site in the UK for assistance but no reply as yet
And in there download section you have to search for drivers for your card to update but the search came up blank so maybe there are no driver updates for my card or i just fxxxxd up the search either way the drivers that came with the card work fine so ill stick with them
Hope this helps you a bit
will keep reading forums looking for a answer but no rush as for now

ok, i had similar problems when i had my 4200 and my sound card share the same IRQ (which urs is). so what i did was move the sound card to another PCI slot, and the problem was solved. since it says, PCI card, is it an actual PCI sound card, or on board? if it's a card, move it to another PCI slot.
