i dont know about what benchmarks say but i think the 28.32's are about the best out there as far as real gaming goes. whats everyones opinion on real gaming performance with all the det. drivers?

err, 3dmark01 is no good gaming benchmark. its only d3d and not opengl.

yeah i think everyone gets carried away with 3dmark. dont get me wrong i think it is interesting and fun to oc a lil bit and see how far your cards can go but as far as real gaming??? c'mon. im not trying to offend anyone but what does a program that causes many users to blow up something or other just for a few more points have to do with gaming? when do these people have time to play games? overclock another five...run benchmark...overclock another 5...run benchmark....etc. etc. etc. laterrrrrrrrrr

personnally, i like to play games with the most fps i can get from my computer : that's why software (like 3dmark) have been programmed so that people could enjoy playing games at "full speed".

for example, nvidia drivers aren't optimized for maximum framerate speed when you install them. i use "rivatuner" to optimize these drivers as well as overclocking my old g-force 2mx and taking the most power of it so that games are running well on this computer.

games and 3d computer performances are totally linked because you need 3d power in order to fully appreciate a 3d game.

for me the best are 27.20(d3d, dx8) and 22.40(ogl, d3d dx7)

I'm very disapointed in Nvidia rushing drivers out the door...........

29.42 runs faster for me than the 28.32s did. Did you take off V-Sync ?(It automatically sets it to "On By Default" everytime you update your drivers.)

it all depends, if you have a gf2 like me, you'll probably better off installing detonators 27.20.
if you have a different card a gf3 or gf4 perhaps you could do better installing 28.32 or even 29.42.
