I used to say that, but it only supports NTFS 4 properly. Symantec stopped developing it a long time ago.

I think Raxco PerfectDisk is the best now because of the disk layout it uses.

Norton Speedisk 5.11 works perfectly under 2000 and under Windows XP.

It support NTFS5.1 and FAT32 so no problem.

It is much faster then the Windows defrag utility and realy does do the job. It reorgineses the files so the files frequently used will be in the beginning of the disk and files not accessed often ad the end. The windows defragger does not do this.

Speeddisk is included in the popular tool Norton Systemworks 2002 and Norton Utilities 2002. These tools also included a tool called windocter which solves problems with registry entries.

So I would say go for Norton Utilities 2002 !!

I agree that Norton Defrag is a good program. As for Windoctor and all the other garbage that comes with Norton, FLUSH IT! It makes your registry so heavy it takes WinXP an extra 30 sec to boot, and causes way more problems than it solves. Too bad one can't get Norton Defrag stand-alone!
