Can I just point out that isn't much of an overclock. I've had my 2600+ T-bred B in my A7N8X at 12.5x195mhz. It ran at 50°C (~120°F) (still a little high for my taste)...which is lower than your 129°F (~53°C).

I'll agree with you though. They look like a great line of processors. I know that if you keep the voltage down to default (mine is 1.65v, I don't know what it is for Bartons) you get REALLY low temps (I ran 33° at stock speed)

My XP 2500 is runin @ 12.5 x 170 = 2129 and is limeted from goin further on my rig at the moment by my PC2700 memory. I will be getting PC3200 shortley and then without doubt i will beable to get it up to the 2400 speeds.

As for temps, mine at its current OC speed is in the range 32(idle) - 38 (load)...!

Looking at your temps, you could probably increase your Vcore voltage and get more out of the FSB easily.

Yeah i can get it up to about 175 FSB by increasing the vcore to 1.65 i also up the men voltage. I'm sure i could get higher as well if i returned my mem to CL2.5 with the memory timings set to SPD, but as my PC 3200 CL2 LL is on the way i will wait to then before i really start pushing the CPU and FSB!

Your memory speed has nothing to do with how high your CPU will overclock. They need to be tested separately when one is not stressed and then find a compromise between the too.

My system specs and 3dmark2001se score

er..... well it is, becausse when i up my FSB past 170 it boots into windows, but i start to get lock ups and crashes in benchmarks and stress tests.... and when i run the mem test in DOS it shows errors with the memory...! and when i borrowed a PC3200 stick from a friend i could get the whole thing running stable at 185 FSB.
