I have 2.4Ghz 533FSB 512 cache cpu
512 rdram
Radeon 9800 Pro card
Sound Blaster Audigy
80 Gb 8Mb cache hardrive
Window XP Pro with all the latest updates such as
Service Pack 1a, DX9a,....

I was refering to the Catalyst 3.1 version, not the 3.3, I 've tried both of them, and I got INF error for both of them, so how can I install for either of them? also, I tried to uninstalled old drivers, then install the 3.1 or 3.3, none of them work.

have you uninstalled any ati drivers before installing them again?

jincuteguy, the 3.1 driver is not the best to use on the 9800 it's more stable with the 3.2. Having said that you should not be getting an inf error message. you need to do a clean install. Thats cleaning every reference to ATI off your system. use "drive cleaner" its only a small program but works well. You can find it on most site's like warp or rage, or just do a search for it.

If you want to make sure everyhing is gone you need to clean the ATI folders out from the registry, get rid of all the system32 driver files uninstall everything from the device manger. I can give you the full instructions for a clean install as reccommended by ATI but it's to long for a thread! Use my email and I'll relpy with instructions, it's the only way to eliminate that as a cause for the problems your having. There are also some new DNA 3.3 drivers over at rage in the forums that work really well! But until you have this problem sorted there is no point bunging up the system with more drive files.

Hey, after I read the instructions, and I did everything, but I still can't install the 3.3 or 3.1 Catalyst, it keep saying INF error driver not found.

you did use the modded inf file??

Nevermind guys, I figured out how to install any Catalyst now, and it worked. Thx for all the help and tips.
