The A7V does not support 133 FSB, so you would not be able to run your XP at full clock speed unless you are able to unlock the processor. The A7V doesn't overclock very well though. The highest FSB I was able to acheive was 127mhz. You would be better off upgrading to the A7V333 if your going to get a new XP processor. Or better yet if you can wait the new KT400 chipset mobo's are just around the corner and should be a good size leap with AGP 8X and Dual DDR

Is it possible to run an XP+1800 like this : FSB 120Mhz x 11.5 = 1380 and memory set to FSB100 (120) , without unlocking the processor ?

If your A7V can run over 120 FSB speeds.

Try... to set FSB speeds at 133>>>>BY JUMPER!!!!

Do not! use FSB 120Mhz 'cause your PCI will down clock to 30Mhz!!!(PCI/FSB=1/4)[/url]

why would u want to do this?

what is the default multiplier?

without unlocking the cpu u can only use the default multiplier.

The thing is that i can get one XP+1800 for 100$ , but i dont have enough money to uppgrade to DDR memory and motheboard . The default multiplayer on XP+1800 is 11.5 x 133 = 1533 Mhz . I whold be satisfaid if i can run that CPU on some lower speed than 1533 Mhz . The CPU is not unlocked and i don't think i can do that myself :-( . What whould be the best solution to my problem . I whould realy like to uppgrade my Duron 750 . Should i be looking for some unlocked T-bird 1.4 Ghz instead ?
