will .NET software come up sooner or later
will they be optional ?

why do they mix around with nforce drivers ?
e.g. 5.10 does contain an older ethernet driver then 4.27 and many more examples. thats why so many ppl. create "remix" drivers.

When will the .net drivers be released?

Were are the SLI cards at? How about some benchmarks?

How about some new nForce drivers?

What about OpenGL 2.0 support?

When is the texture corruption (especially noticeable on Summoners/Avatars) within Final Fantasy XI MMORP going to be fixed in the 6x.xx driver series (Doesn't work in the 66.31 unofficial MS WHQL drivers either). Currently works correctly in 57.xx.

When will you release a true WHQL certified driver again?

Are Nvidia adding a optimisations tab to their Forceware drivers like

ATi's CATALYST A.I which “allows the driver to intelligently analyze applications and textures to maximize graphics performance and stability

When is Nvidia (or even ATI - you guys might know it) going to release a true Graphic-Card again?

Not just one that scores enough "Silicon-Test-Based-Benchmark-out-of-Game-Range-Points" but one that runs on its own?

A real card, not depending on the CPU or stuff... but just doing the work as the cards did years ago?

nforce questions

Not video stuff, IT stuff for those of us who want to use nforce2 and nforce3 boards in the enterprise and a couple multimedia questions.

#1. on the hit parade. To properly use computers in a corporate enterprise you really need to be able to use Symantec Corporate Ghost and it's networking abilities. To do this you need dos/ndis drivers for the network card or onboard ethernet. Someone on the internet managed to create one that works with nforce2 integrated ethernet, but there isn't one for nforce3 yet. Nvidia should get behind this and supply these (like Intel, 3com, broadcom and all other first tier networking providers.) So, when can we expect these to be available <G>.

#2. Windows PE is an amazing tool for the enterprise also. Allows you to create and run a copy of windows from CD with diagnostic tools and other things, see
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/ and
http://windowsubcd.com/
amazing tools.
However, as with ndis drivers, the community is having a very hard time getting nforce3 networking support to work within these environement. How about some support from Nvidia.

#3. Booting from USB thumb drives. Another way that setting up and troubleshooting new computers in the enterprise can be easier and faster. How about ensuring that computers/motherboards built with your chipsets support this both booting Dos and booting windows from a thumb drive.

#4. If you aren't going to put it back into your motherboard chipsets how about putting your APU on a seperate sound card, we want our sound storm audio back.

#5. PVR. Please create a stand along product. I love Nvidia products and would prefer to have an nforce 3 mobo with a Geforce 6800 GT and an nvidia PVR solution, but you need to breakout/seperate the PVR stuff from your video cards. Right now to use your PVR solution I have to buy a crippled/old/slow video card or I buy the video card I want and get someone elses PVR setup. And even if you had a PVR product mated with a fast video card I wouldn't want it, becuase I upgrade my video card much more often then I should need to update my PVR hardware. After all ATI just came out with their all in wonder USB 2, that's the way to go, but I won't buy ATI so I have Hauppauge.

Thanks

1. Could any performance improvments be in store for the geforce FX series in any upcoming driver releases, especially geared towards Half-life 2 in directX 9 mode and possibly FarCry when useing 2.0 shaders. (without reducing image quality)

2. Is there any chance there will be a overclocking feature implemented in the driver's that is the similar to MSI's D.O.T utility which allows different steps of overclocking at safe preset levels, eg. 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 9%, 10%. Which is initiated when a game is run.

3. When will the Nvidia media center be released, and will it support video capture for the vivo function. Because all the other applications i have tried are not very good at all when it comes to the audio.

Nvidiacould you please do the entire computing industry a big favor and release an addin pci soundcard? I can see you guys wiping your butts with creative labs and making some big bucks by offering sound cards.

That's my question.

I second that, will you guys at Nvidia be adding a feature to control application specific optimizations in addition to the multiple tabs for general optimizations already present in recent betas?

BSOD's???

I constantly get BSOD's and I debug them myself and with the 61.77 drivers I constantly get nv4_disp.dll this is in XP SP2.

Ok what the debug of the dump file states is - This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit - This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code.

Did they truly hard code breakpoints within the driver???

Does this mean they have faulty drivers???

Hi !

It would be nice if you could ask NVIDIA the following questions:

1. Why doesn´t NVIDIA (like ATI) post new official and WHQL certified drivers every few weeks instead of leaking drivers all the time and not releasing official ones for months ?

2. There is rumour that the onboard videoprocessor of the 6800 series is broken. Is this true or will it work the same (!) as on the 6600 series with future driver releases ?

3. When will we finally be able to buy an up to date version of the Forceware Multimedia 4.0 (NVDVD) codecs and/or program instead of having to buy a more expensive ( and not yet available ) program from Theatertek? Also Theatertek 2.0 will, as far as I know, not have the ability to watch a movie windowed, and I don´t need another player anyway. NVDVD 2.55 sales have been stopped about one year ago.

4. Why is NVIDIA not adding their up to date NVDVD codecs to all (!) of their expensive new hardware ?

5. A talk to some guy from the Microsofts MVP division revealed that Microsofts position on the "VMR9 tearing issue" (videoplayback of Highdef and/or WM9 video with VMR9 causes tearing of the picture) is that the videocard manufacturers do not support VMR9 properly yet and they should therefore update their drivers. Will NVIDIA do that at least for their 5xxx and 6xxx series of cards and if yes, when ?

Thanks for your help !
Alex
