AMD Barton 2500+

Hey guys,
Could anyone please help me with the following:
Right now i have a asus a7n8x (non deluxe) bios 1002.A (newest one but not Uber) and ocsystem ddr400 ram.

http://www.ocsystem.com/oc51pc40fonc.html

I want to buy a 2500+ as soon as the 400mz fsb bartons get released in may. That way i'll end up paying a lot less for the 2500+. But don't get me wrong i do want 400mhz and the perfomance of a 3000+. So i was thinking if i buy it, i want to overclock it as best as possible, but i don't want anymore than 400mhz fsb.
No higher necessary.
My power supply is :

http://www.googlegear.com/jsp/ProductDet...ode=270008

So my question is, is this a smart move? Can it be done? Will it get really hot temperature wise? and finally will i have to do unlocking, wire tricks, bios updates, and blah blah blah . I would prefer if i could just put in the cpu and mess around in the bios with settings that you guys tell me, and then done. The rest of my system is powerful enough to handle everything and i'm running win xp SP1 and all other updates. Maxtor diamond max plus 9 8mb cache. I don't know if i'm telling you guys too much info, but i want to make you guys know as much as possible, and reply as soon as possible, with
answers and not asking about other hardware specifications.
excuse my english if it's bad, i'm a dutch bastard hehe.
another important piece of info.
I'm running a Thermaltake Volcano 7+ at full speed.
And about the blah blah part, i want to include, thermal paste and copper shims, liquid cooling and stuff. All that stuff i preferably don't want. Even the thermal paste because i don't like making a messy crap there, i want to keep it clean, so i can remove the cpu at any time.
Ok then thats it
Thx in advance

Yngwie II

AMD Athlon™ XP Processor Mods For FSB Of 166Mhz And 220Mhz

http://warp2search.net/article.php?sid=9406

Here's two Mods for AMD's Athlon™ XP processors! the first Mod will set your Athlon™ XP 2000+ 2200+ or 2400+ to a XP2800 (166x13.5) defaulting to a 166 FSB.

and the second mod will help you hit 200's MHz FSB with your Athlon™ XP 2600+ 2700+ or 2800+ that's like running a Barton CPU.....Hehe and as they say TRY @ Your own Risk

Isn't the barton 2500 already unlocked in every possible
way. And doesn't the newest bios (1002.A) for the nforce 2 asus
a7n8x unlock everything anyhow? So then don't i just have to
just mess around in the bios a bit to overclock it?

Thx

I don't know, i'm trying to make sure if i'm right or not.
Since so many people post different things with it, some say
2500 is unlocked already others say it's not.
So don't try to play a wise guy with me.

I suggest you search for a review or overclocking xp2500+ article. If you don;t understand the first then read another. You are just laying youself wide open to get given false info - either wittingly or unwittingly.

I'm doing that, thx. I'm trying on forums and normal
sites to find as much info on the 2500 as possible, whether
about overclocking or normal performance.
