Well I gotta say... ABOUT TIME. Wow was the old one crap. Sorry to use harsh words but it was quite bad.
But yey new one!

but anyway I dunno what did not work for you ... I never had any trouble ...

basically you do not need to do anything then install this ...
as soon as you play a movie having AC3 sound the codec will be used directly as Directshowfilter .... this is basically the same as divx for video ... just a decoder

Ty for the translation Merstch heh.
Oh the problem I had before was that maybe sometime during the film, the sound would make a VERY LOUD screeching noise, like scratching glass, was weird. I had this with about 85% of the films I had, which had to use the AC3.
Also sometimes the sound and the video itself was out of sync, like they maybe you would hear them talk then actually see there mouths move talking around 1-5 seconds later, which was weird and again this only happened when I had to use the AC3.

I really think this was no problem of the AC3 filter ... this was bad movie ... yeah sometimes they are out of sync ... but I never saw that the codec is responsible for this ...
must be bad luck that just the AC3 movies did not work
