Does anyone know is far cry developed using Deus EX- Invisible war? I am asking this because when i try performing the unintallation of Far Cry, the title of the window was name as "Deus EX- Invisible War" this is wired.

Anyway What Real Time Strategy games you guys prefer? I personnally like the Age of Mythology : The Titan, for me it is far much better then warcraft III. Should be the best RTS game i ever have. I am thinking of purchasing a RTS game this month, some recommendation?

you just see setups wrong way ...
NO setup are NEVER clean
and NO setups are NOT clever

setups will be put EVERYWHERE but the game folder so it can happen that 2 setups mix up .... since they are somewhere in windows / program fles folder but not in the game directory ...
most easy way to find out ? just rename some folder of games and then try to uninstall them ... in 80% of all cases the uninstallation will still start but not work because the log how to uninstall ic VERY SMART ... stored in the game directory ...

STARCRAFT and WC3 are the only REAL RTS games ... all other RTS games are just for fun or better to say ... to kill time because there is no strategie ... or real depth in game ... its just build and kill without thinking ...
you simply need a very deep look into starcraft and WC3 before it does make fun .... you need to understand all the armor .. damage model and see the various unit combinations ...

I am a big time RTS game fan. I already have Starcraft (original & brood war) Warcraft: TFT, and C&C General (not that fun after all). I still prefer age of mythology better.

I install FarCry only for 3 days. it doesn't run so well on my system so i get rid of it. What i meant was when uninstalling Far Cry using the provided icon on the folder under the start menu. When i click on it a windows pop-up and inform me that it is going to uninstall farcry, while the progress bar is running (indicating that the uninstallation is taking place usually in %) i saw the windows is named as Deus "EX - Invisible War" instead of "Farcry". I don't have Deus EX anyway.

By the way any good RTS out there.

Especially because SC and WC3 are so challenging. You go into the Bnet, get a team and get insulted as newbie, idiot etc if you DONT rush with them. Or get owned if you dont use a rushing tactic.
Its all about who builds the fastest in the first minute of the game, because all is over in the minute after that. Now thats a real RTS game, alright. lol
There are far better RTS games that actually require thinking and more than just one tactic. I agree you can play WC3 and SC real nice if people would actually want to have fun instead of just want to win, but WC3 is built for kiddies who only want that and thats why its that popular.
But SC & WC3 being the ONLY REAL RTS games made me laugh really, really good. Thanks.

btw, good and complex RTS games right now are Homeworld2 or C&C Generals for example (only with ZH expansion, tho).

cossacks is a good RTS game, could pick it up pretty cheap too

I have never heard such a shit like that. Starcraft Broodwar and Warcraft III The Frozen Throne are the best RTS games ever. It´s just like you didn´t have the skill to master those games... i never laughed so good about any post i red before...
I don´t want to say that C&C generals doesn´t require skill but in comparison to BW and TFT that is a kiddy game jsut balanced to YOUR skill :/

I dunno how you came to your opinion ... but maybe u should take a MUCH MUCH deeper look into the game ...
maybe playing 1-2 games ain't enough ...
SC/TFT do have much more then only rush .... games can take up to 40minutes or till all resources are gone ...
but if you are too weak and get killed before it won't ...
but reducing the game to rush is very very simple ... if ya know how to avoid it a rush can be very very dangerous for the others and may be their death ...
also this is a TEAM game ... you ally can be keeping them up while you are preparing something really mad ... or you can fool the others with some units of one style then suddenly switch to something other .....
but taking game which takes 20 minutas as a rush game .... sitting 1h in you base then going out with 100ts of units ... without any micro or real sense ... is just plain stupid ...
as chobo said ... if you do not have the skill you, play C&C and say BW/TFT is stupid ... if you do ... you play it, like it - and loose or win like a fair player
and I do often loose in TFT but its still fun

Just one thing: Generals alone isnt better than WC3. like you "said" its pretty straight forward, but with the expansion it actually is far better than WC. I dont think you ever played it with ZH.

How stupid do you think I am? WC3 is very easy to learn and even easier to play, THATS why it is so popular. The only hard thing is the micro management. but after a few games people should learn that. No big deal with just a few units anyway. Actually I have played that game from the beginning. Not in open games but with friends in 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3s. As I said it was fun for a while but got boring relatively fast because its so simple. Thats why I started playing in open games for a few weeks to see if it would be fun to play against some better players who have other tactics. they actually had ONE other tactic. rushing. at least 90% of the games there are rushing games. dont get me wrong. long games all the time suck. but 5 to 10 mins for a game 90% of the time? You call that fun? quick games just show that your oponent doesnt have skill (if you win those quick games), or you are just using simple force fast enough to get there. RTS games with tactic take much longer because you have to find out where your oponent is weak and try to distract him, do hit and run etc etc. In WC you know where your opponents are, you know they will probably come from that direction and will try to rush. and a few minutes later all is over as you thought it would be. C&C and others offer FAR more options to defeat your opponent.
40 mins you said, wow. I played with my friends WC3 games that took up to 3 hours. THAT was fun. You can have that all the time with ZH or HW2. With HW2 even longer.
I lost quite a bit in WC3 in those open bnet games. But as I said I played it a long time about 4 to 10 h a day, and learned how to counter those rush tactics (yes yes, my ddd!). at least 1 on 1. you cant do much if suddenly 2 or 4 players attack your base and your team wont help because they are preparing what you described. Actually I won most of those games, but is winning all the time fun?

How long have you been playing computer games? 2 years? Ever played the original Total Annihilation? Thought so...

Yo Chill out, . Ok here's my opinion about TFT and starcraft. Both of this games is so easy to play because they have only two types of resources, that is why fan always rush. No deep resources management. Sure they are fun. I
give them (TFT & SC) 75% out of 100% (marks). Due to i am a dail-up user i can't get online and play.

Yeah, how can i forget cossacks. I have plaied that game few years ago (borrowing from friend) but i didn't own it. It is much like Age Of Empire series. I am age of empire fan too. I will take cossacks into consideration.
