yes up to date is good ...
but sometimes there are some problem with those drivers ...
I know the problem, too
I am able to set 1280x1024 but some apps do not want to give me that option
in most cases 1280x960 is the highest ... when I do remove my monitor driver I got the full spectrum of resolutions ...

that mainly got something to do with the refreshrates set within inf per res and the GPU driver telling ... HEY this ain't possible when the game does not correctly ask for it

Hi
when Vsync is on, more than one screen buffer is used.
This can steal your needed graphics memory.
To see if it is this, disable vsync and the modes should appear.

This shouldnt be happening with a GT unless the number of prerendered screens is set quite high. Normally it is 2 or 3.
Something tells me this isnt your problem, but worth a look.

I use Rivatuner (for NVidia cards) to check under direct3D / VSync.
You need to press the funny buttons (the 2nd customise, then second button then VSync tab) Smile

FIxed

I fixed it! What I had to do was connect my analog cable to the lcd and run NFS: Underground 2 than went to the options in the gane there all the resolutions were present after that i went back to my digital connection and it kept all the resolutions from the analog connection. I hope this works for others.
