new nvidia 40.41 and i aint happy

well 40.41 drivers they drop performance and also they wont run my games like moto gp for example.
i like the new interface on it but doesnt compensate

for the performance lose.
not sure if everyone gets this but if you do reply..

A little advice from a old gamer and driver fanatic.

23.12 certified own all other drivers in my experience and i wish they would just take time and make a driver that beats performances not drops them.......

I got a boost. 14FPS in nature, and alot more in NWN. No problems for me, haven't got one error. And Americas Army works for me as well.

who cares how they perform, THESE are the absolute WORST drivers from nvidia i have seen, Trilinear and THE OLD anistropic method is GONE for some Strange reason, U will not be able to enable these, witch is quite stuipd as without these Texture qauilty suffers HORRIBLY, all you can enable is Bilinear 1x on the ANI menu in d3d, and THE NEW ani method 2x and above, and the NEW method takes a Huge chunk of your FPS, and it dosn't even get to use TRIlinear with it BAH, Why the hell these drivers Default to Point Sampling IS jus insane, A s3 virge or a VOODOO 1 defaults to atleast BILinear, and those are aincent cards!!! Stay away from these drivers at all costs, unless you like looking at jagies and/or wanna suffer the huge FPS hit the new Ani method incurs.

i have got a good fps boost and image quality seems to be better also

i'm the same tho in that nature test i got a 10+ fps boost and to me thats a good thing

i dodnt think they are the worst released drivers tho but they seem to be good and i'm happy

:evil: :evil: I run W2K SP3 w/VisionTek GeForce4 MX420-64 meg. I loaded the 40.41 drivers & frame rate dropped BIG TIME!! I ended up unloading 40.41 and going back to 31.00, which was working fine for me. If it ain't broke, LEAVE IT ALONE!! :-? :-?

On 2 different OSs

So back to OMEGAs 1.1.82 (btw omegas drivers rock)

I have a asus Geforce 4, 8460 ultra deluxe, 128mb, after I installed 40.41, it shows only 64mb memory on the card.

i have the same problem. i got a gainward g4 ti4200 128mb golden sample and they show it as a 64mb card.

i got 700 more in 3dmark 2001 se..

everything runs fine..

I gained about 700 3dmarks and every game runs smooth as silk. They work great for me.

40.41 works fine for me, i'm running a GE Force 4 TI 4200 64MB and i used to get around 90-95 fps, and now i'm getting around 115-120 fps, plus the card is running at 300/600. Got no probs with 40.41
