4-1 drivers??

4-1 drivers??

I have XP Pro and with the Asus mobo it has 4-1 drivers. I updated everything from windows and my V.C web site. Do I need to install these?

You need the VIA 4in1 drivers, if you have a Asus motherboard with the VIA chipset. Without them windows will screw up your IRQ settings, one hardware may conflict with another hardware etc. It makes your computer more stable, so I strongly advice you to have them installed. Actually, those drivers should be the first you install after a fresh Windows installation.

not true...you dont have to install them...

ok thanks. I have no conflicts so should I still install them? I mean I already got all the updates from everyones products on my computer

Asus A7V333
XP2000 same fan and memory as you Rico but only 80gig hd

You don't need to install 4in1 necessarily in Win XP, as it already has implemented support for Via chipsets. It won't hurt if you install them though, but if you feel your systems running fine there's no real need to do it. In other Windows versions it is much more important to install 4in1s.

I recommend to install the 4in1 package on WinXP.
You`ll get more performance and will fix maybe a lot of bugs you not even noticed.
