3dmark2k1 results, low/normal/high?

7666 with 3dmark2k1
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3638908

for some reason I'm thinking it should be higher but I dunno, hard to compare in the database with all those super o/ced systems in there

is it low/normal/high?

Does it really matter?
Can you play your game oks? If the answer is yes then stop worrying about what 3dmark says.

Bah he might not be able to play games at full freakin speed, what would u do say if u got a 3dmark2k1 score of 3000 and it should be 7000?
3dmark does a good job of real game performance mainly because it uses the max payne engine, the maps are jus designed diff from what would be normal in a fps game, and some advanced effects have been tacked on. Anyway 7600 is about right for what u have, a tad under tho
I get about 10,200 in 3dmark 2k1 with my geforce 4 ti 4400 @ 320/690 and a athlon XP 1800+ and thas in windows 98 first editon, in 2k i get about 10,600. The NT core seems to give 3dmark 2k1 a bonus in score, even tho the framerates are usualy identical. Prob because its newer tech, dumb reason to give more points but, what the hell the designers of 2k1 were thinking MORE POINTS FOR NEWER os's even if it dosn't perform any diff.

W2k/XP gets slightly more because of it's faster memory/fill rate, even if the real fps are the same.

As long as games run fine it dosn't really matter, some weirdo on 3dmark's listing will always have a OC'd liquid nitrogen cooled setup scoring 5 times the points on a same system so it's pretty much useless to work out real world scores on 3dmark. Especially since it dosnt even count harddisk, sound or network. Not like the Max Payne engine is popular with game makers either.

Do this:
  • To check your CPU compare to CPU's using the same card, look the average performance of your CPU. Don't forget to consider teh MoBo used by people
  • To check your Video Card compare to systems using the same CPU, check your card against average of R8500
