3DMark2001 & 2000

Hey all, i have a Tbird 1.2 Ghz SocketA under a Asus A7V Mobo w/ 256 PC133 RAM, and a old GeForce 2 MX from Creative Labs running on Win 2000 Pro, i runned 3dmark2000 and i got 4126 Marks, in 3Dmark2001, 1886 Marks. I think they are bad scores for my machine. Want to know another opinion. Soz @ my bad english

no these are normal scores :/

if you want higher scores, get better RAM (DDR) and a better board (ATI 8500 or GF4)

I basically have the same machine only w/ 512 MB Samsung SDRAM and a Gigabyte GF2 MX. I run in the mid-3000s on the 3dMark2001 test and considerably higher (I forget how high) on the 3dMark2000 test. You should get the 29.40 or 29.41 drivers. They don't do as well on the 3dmark tests but they seem to be better in OpenGL. Also, take off antialiasing and v-sync in your driver properties. Mine is overclocked to 195 MHz core/ 185 memory. I need a system fan or gpu fan or RAMsinks so I can o/c it more Tongue. I've also done a lot of other stuff in the registry, system configuration, bios, etc. which I wouldn't recommend doing unless you know what you're doing. Under 2000 on 3dmark2001 is horrible.

My last runs on 3DMark2001/2000. I could go higher if I turned my texture levels and shit down, but where's the fun in that ? When I started out, I was running 2400s back in May or April, I think. 600+ points is a pretty big increase, eh ? Well, I don't think I had it on 4x AGP, so that might be it. I experienced a 4-point drop on the 3D2K1 SE going from the 28.90s to the 29.42s. Nothing to be concerned about since these seem to run OpenGL better.

Unless you have a GF3 or GF4 Ti, it doesn't matter if you have the original or the SE version. Not sure about which Radeons have pixel shading.
