0.13 Micron

As long as AMD doesn't have 0.13 micron Intel will be faster.

Proud AMD owner, intel fan. Smile

What?

.13 allows for faster chips but that does not mean that cos Intel has .13 that all their chips are faster. Only the ones that benchmark faster are the ones that are faster and you do not need the 1.3 micron process to do it.
.13 or not Athlons and Durons are cheaper so you get much more performance for your money.

Let me rephrase

Ok. Let me rephrase. When AMD gets 0.13 micron it will rule. Stupidity by it's finest? Wait and see boy.

.13 Micron

.13 micron process will enable AMD to make smaller and cheaper processors that perform better. This is true. But AMD is already the best processor for bang for buck. Also study the speeds closely and ignore the AMD PR system.

AMD Athlon XP 2100+ is 1.7Ghz
And competes with a Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz.

Pentiums should have the bigger advantages with a 400Mhz FSB but...
They blow.

They are just a big name.
