XGI Volari V8 versus Deltachrome S8

OCWorkbench has posted a review of the XGI Volari V8 versus a S3 Deltachrome S8, along with Radeon 9550 and GeforceFX 5700LE results.

The Volari V8 certainly proved to be a very interesting piece of hardware. This card has pretty good performance for the average gamer as we can see and proved to be a worthy alternative to the Radeon 9550 and GeforceFX 5700 LE which are both in the same price range. Its performance seems to match the Radeon 9600/9600 Pro too.

Why are they posting IQ images of games that arent benchmarked?

Anyone tried to super-impose the ATI image vs the XGI one in the DOOM3 game images? I did even with over 4x zoom and found not one single pixel difference (except in the smoke) between them.... Is XGI IQ so good since Ive been hearing a lot about filtering issues in the Volari it sounds odd?
