XGI said that its dual graphics processor Volari architecture will be available on December 8th. The firm, which previewed its architecture at last September's Computex, claims that its Volari Duo systems will nearly double the performance of what it describes as "traditional" GPU technology. It also said that it is collaborating with Intel, Microsoft, AMD and games and software developers to bring fast graphics applications to the marketplace. Presence PC benchmarked the "Volari duo" video card here.

"delivers 5370 3DMarks which is more than a Radeon 9800 or a Geforce FX 5900 Ultra"

That may be true for 9800(non-pro) but from what benchmarks I've read the 9800 pro and 5900 ultra score in the low 6k range.

Also most programs are not written for dual cpu's, so u can assume not for dual gpu vid cards as well. So drivers will have to take on the task of getting applications to utilize both gpus, hope they have a hell of a driver team!!

If you read french the article says that it corresponds to about the level of a Radeon 9800 or Geforce FX 5900 Ultra, never said that the Volari Duo beat them, but even if it does beat them slightly depending on the system they still have work to go.

Maybe I'm criticizing and maybe 3dmark03 isn't everything, but I just hope that it can do better (without cheating, as we only have a 3dmark03 score that comapnies cheat on often) if it wants to win some fans.
