They can keep their stupid updates.
They just need to release a DVD drive that doesnt eat discs like candy and a PSU that doesnt overheat if ambient temperature is a little over 21°C and I would surely buy one of these things...

It doesn't eat discs and it doesn't overheat... then again I don't keep it in my parents humid basement flipping it vertically while a porn disc is spinning like apparently some people do...

Indeed....

My workshop tried to install 3 of those in cars. The first one was eating so much ***** power that they needed to install an extra battery.
The second one got too hot regularly.
The third one scratched DVDs when it was running while the car was moving.

The customers got so annoyed that they put in their old Xbox1 or PS2 again.

"The third one scratched DVDs when it was running while the car was moving."

Ummm...and that surprises you? It's a device that wasn't designed to be in a moving car that it bouncing around. It's called a HOME console for a reason.

Plus if it's overheating you might want to read the manual...it says not to cover the vents and if you put in furniture that is closed to make sure that it is ventilated in some way.

So why doesnt the PS2 nor Xbox1 do this then?

Its called a home console, and if you actually got some common sense you would know that children play with this console too. So its got to be reliable. But it isnt. Its a freaking PC with AIDS. Even cheap PCs work wonderfully in cars.............................

And no, no vents were covered. People arent as dumb as you want them to be...

If you had the systems laying horizontally then that would be why it would get hotter then normal (I have one and it gets hot)...plus there have been plenty of reports that when put horizontal, it scratches discs (which is odd but just put it vertical.) As for the power supply needed another battery? See: Home game console.

Dude, people arent as dumb as you want them to be!!!!
Everything has been tried. These people build high end PCs into cars, have already installed hundreds of PS2's and Xbox1's...
The 360 is sensitively as a sick child.
Best you put it into an refrigerator and NEVER EVER change the disc nor touch it...

Well, maybe in 1 or 2 years it will be a reliable console. But I dont count on it. Lets see how the PS3 handles things.
