Xbox 360 Available Friday November 18th!

It looks as though a certain consumer retail giant will have certain packages of the Xbox 360 available on Friday November 18th at 2PM EST. Nearly 4 days before the official launch date.

I'd suspect there are 3 possibilities for this:

1. It's a typo or misunderstanding on the web team's end.

2. This is actually pretty huge and might even spur other retailers to do the same thing. Maybe MS struck a deal with them? Maybe they're sick of letting Best Buy walk all over them when it comes to gaming?

3. MS is going to be pissed. Can you imagine if some theaters were able to run a new release 4-5 days early? Remember all of the hubbub about stores selling Harry Potter in advance? This seems comparable.

Either way, I'm going to watch this carefully. If it pans out, I'll scrap my Wal-Mart pre-order and get it on Friday.

UPDATE: They've tweaked the page. I can't even really tell what it means. It seems that it's for web-orders only, but they're not really saying if that's a ship date, delivery date or what. It's definitely not for in-store pick-up.
I couldn't really find any way to verify what the site means.
I *think* this might be a gimmick.
