X800Pro - XT Succesful Softmods!

Thanks to Mackey D for the heads up! that people are successfully softmodding their X800 Pro Vivo based cards into XT's, enabling the extra 4 pipelines. apparently the Vivo based cards are identical to the XT in every respect, including the 1.6ns memory and intact bridges, all that is needed is the right BIOS to unlock the remaining 4 pipelines.

Some threads going on other forums at the moment about people that have successfully soft modded the current batch of Club3D X800 Pro Vivo cards to XT by flashing with a Gigabyte Bios. These cards are shipping with the 1.6ns Ram, bridges still intact and even have XT stickers on the HSF - by all accounts they are effectively XT cards with 4 pipelines disables in the bios

Perfectic that these manufactures think we believe everything printed on the box, but leave the XT stickers intact. Cos of they can afford to sell a down graded XT card for less, and more for an XT (with that printed on the box). They might as well not bother with the PROs anymore and just give us XTs at the price they sell the PROs.

End Users would prefer this sort of honesty, than them being ecommumical with the truth and our hard earn't cash ;-)
