World of Warcraft Alpha Leaked

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 01/04/2004 10:32 PM [ Print | 13 comment(s) ] · 12665 views

It seems that after HL2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Painkiller were leaked it is now the turn for World of Warcraft!!

The leak is about 2 GB in size and as one would expect for online play only! Rumors also say that some "l33t" people are currently setting up a server.

we wont be posting any links , so please don't ask or post links! I will leave the comments section open for now! unless we get muppets posting links.

this is getting a little ridiculous now.... like who wants to play an unfinished game? especially gettin a 2gb alpha, who has the time?

Hmmm I don't know, would it be possible to host your own server then? In any case I won't be bothering with the release. I got other *finished* games to play. ;p

What happened? Why are all these leaks suddenly happening?

It's like I'm now just expecting to be able to get a playable copy of a game a long time before it ever comes out.....WHY?!?

*sigh* i've been a long time w2s reader and i've never posted anything but i think i finally have to say something....
DW to answer your questions about leaks happening...the fact of the matter is they happen all the time. i think that w2s has going to the shitter and now resort to posting things like this to get more "reads". and whats worse is that by posting these things it incourages ppl to go out and search for these things..we know all know the saying "couriosity killed the cat"
now we'll have more ppl looking for things that otherwise had no clue..i get more and mor edisappointed in w2s everyday i visit =[
well thats my 2 cents and it will prolly be my 1st and last post
-happy holidays

It was actually leeked 3 weeks ago...
People are just hearing of it now though...
And yes its real, seen it, and tryed it.
Good post, but people shouldnt really download this, beta testing will be out in 2 weeks, and that version will be much better than the alpha leak, hold up till the beta!

No, It's wrong and is the reason why every company is abandoning the PC as a gaming platform.

thats exactly my point man,.... nothing is comin out for the pc anymore, everything gets released before its actually done,.... people, keep this up and say bye bye to all those "good" games on the pc cause they will only be released on consoles the way its going

It's the solution to the 'We can't be arsed to do a polished demo', so we'll just leak it as it was 6 months ago.

And why would some muppet post a link, surely any cast member of Sesame street would have more sensible things to do, like counting or something..

??

Its an Alpha.. how it could majorly affect sales is beyond me (unless its total crap).

Lots of companies leak the alphas on purpose to get hype and people will play the game. Its just like them releasing a demo.. if its good people will buy the game, if its crap, people probably wont.

Hm every company is abandoning the PC.. yeah right.
