WinXP Activation Totally Cracked!

Posted by: shitshot on: 11/03/2001 03:59 AM [ Print | 11 comment(s) ] · 10056 views

A Nottingham-based security company claims Chinese crackers had disabled Windows XP's anti-piracy system within a few hours of the product's launch.

BitArts Labs' chief technology officer, John Safa, said that crackers have developed illegal installation files that bypass the registration process for Microsoft's new operating system.

"These files can now be downloaded from websites in the Far East and cracked copies of Windows XP, with the protection mechanism stripped out, can be downloaded from Warez sites across the internet," Safa said.

Hello ppl

Now I have laughting mao (LMAO) this was bound to happen at some point. So I travelled down to my local cracking site to see whats up and you know what, its partly true. They have crack for the CD, Keg Gens and ones for the disable the WPA. Well I haven't tried the CD or the key gen out as I'm one of the few who has a legit copy of Windows XP Pro but the WPA deactivation seems to be a hoax at this point. I check out files dates for the crack and relised it was for Beta 2 of WIN XP. The files were dated for about May this yeap. So is this fact of fiction. I don't, I have mine and it work.

BTW for those interested in the Crack site ..........., well I'm not telling, he he he

hum.... if you guys didn't know, the corporate version was available since 1 month now. you don't even need a crack and no activation... so I don't see why people are still trying to crack it

Perhaps not everyone is that dishonest; perhaps they want to buy a legitimate copy for their one computer, yet don't want to be hassled by Microsoft every time they want to reformat or do a major upgrade.

In a Society where people's life standards are pretty low, no one would give a lousy $200 for a copy of WinXP, besides it's even "LIMITED". Quite a good soil for crackers to grow...

Well.. that might due to the fact that Microsoft themselves released the so called Corp version onto the net. It has some interesting features to help MS with compatibiliy issues etc.

I LOVE IT!! M$ blew it with this activation business!! Now people who never would have used pirated software will simply because of the hassle of the activation. With the money M$ spent in developing this activation system, paying the monkeys to answer the phone at the activation center, etc etc, they will probably end up losing more in pirated copies then if they had just kept the same system!!

Mine as well send a message to all hackers "double-dog dare yah!!!!" thats all folks...

:/

Why do security companies keep posting that Windows XP has been cracked. Who gives a munkeys. Microsoft wanted to stop the casual distribution of their software. IE, go and install it on your neighbours PC. Not stop people from cracking it or warezing it. It was cracked a long LONG time ago. :)

well you all better watch out cause I recently downloaded this deactivation software.

I restarted the whole system and got stuck in the logon screen.

XP couldn't initialize the logon procedure and kept my system from restarting!

So beware....

ps. there are different sizes of these deactivation programs. I got the 256 K file.

I have the corporate final version and I don't think i have to activate it do I???????
