Well, I had the pleasure this weekend of getting a copy of Windows XP 64 bit and giving it a run. For those of you who do not know, MS has taken WinXP Pro to the next level releasing Windows XP 64 bit last week. In this article, I'm going to take a first look at what it brings to the table and what you can expect to see once you get your hands on a copy.

"My load times were better, the graphics were better..." My confidence in this guys ability dropped right about there. |

Yes, sounds totally subjective and it's hard to believe after other, more in-depth tests, showed no improvement in games at all and since no games (except Riddick, and even that showed no improvement) are even optimized to use 64-bit. How long would it have taken him to at least have run a timedemo or two to actually compare FPS? How could any game possibly LOOK better by installing a new OS? Still, I guess it's good news that it can run the games. |

Waste of text on a page. As stated above nothing more than subjective reasoning. Give me empirical! |
