Windows Vista's Enthusiastic Licensing Restrictions

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 10/16/2006 03:50 PM [ Print | 0 comment(s) ] · 1573 views

Not everyone agrees with my stance on Vista lincensing, so I invited Koroush Ghazi of www.TweakGuides.com to write a retort. His article, Windows Vista's Enthusiastic Licensing Restrictions, is excellent, and portrays the other side of this debate!

Following on from the recent controversy over Windows Vista's licensing arrangements, Paul Thurrott at Winsupersite.com asked me to prepare a public reply to his earlier article, and has posted it on his site. My article is entitled Windows Vista's Enthusiastic Licensing Restrictions. I've tried to elaborate the concerns from a PC enthusiast's point of view, and hopefully I've captured all the main points in a reasonably balanced manner. This isn't exactly a life or death issue, but if you read the article you'll understand why it's not a good thing for most of us. Thanks to Paul for being gracious enough to post a different point of view on this topic, I have even more respect for his work.
