It's not official yet. V6 has been up for a long time, but still on its BETA stage. You can always force V6 to open, by going to update.microsoft.com If you go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com it still opens V5. And for pirates, V6 is bad news. V6 checks your windows for a valid license! |

Well if it's beta, it certainly doesn't look like it?!?! No mention of beta on the web pages nor any warnings before proceeding. It's only bad news if your copy is not legit, so why are you worried? |

Its not Y2K. It works fine. Its not much different really. It might not be checking for a valid licence yet. Who knows. The validation checks they use on the other download sites has been bypassed anyway. I didnt have to reboot. |
