Same 'old' version as released earlier.
(Did date check of binaries within file)
Guess the download is now 'Genuine Advantage' hence the 'new' release date.

I got a newer version number, 10.00.00.3802 from my previous version which was 10.00.00.34something. I don't see any other changes though.

I don't like WMP. There are tons of beautiful nice free player, WMP is too big and slow. My favorite one is Quintessential. Pretty much like WinAmp but a lot faster and lighter. With tons of features, skins and plugins.

I like VLC because it uses barely any cpu (2-5%).

compared to wmp which uses anywhere from 20-40%

since i have great 'phones i can hear that nero showtime sounds much better than wmp even with the fancy eq and dsp bell and whistles that wmp 10 has. so i always listen to cd with nero now and haven't used the microsoft media player at all since nero 7 came out. the only thing with nero is it's beginning to get really ridiculous with bloat. some ppl may like nero home, nero smartstart, nero backitup, etc., but i turn all of that pc hijacking & resource hogging stuff off and only use nero burning rom, vision express, showtime, wave editor and on occassion, nero recode programs manually and hardly touch the other stuff in the suite. what i like is they are always working on getting rid of known bugs as much as they have recently are filling it up with fluff. much more than other software programs.
