Windows Commander is now called Total Commander! The reasons for the name change is a Microsoft request to remove 'Windows' from the product title (more to read here). The new Version 5.5 contains a lot of improvements and additions:
File system plugins allow to access PocketPC devices, other file systems etc.
Descriptions can be created for files, and will be copied with the files
NTFS file streams will now be copied with the files
RTF-Viewer in Lister
Open partially downloaded ZIP archives (while a download is still in progress)
Improvements to Synchronize dirs, multi-rename tool, ftp client and many other parts of the program
