Following Rancho's interview with Terry Makedon of ATI earlier, Zardon @ DriverHeaven has received even more information from Terry about the Official Catalyst Driver Beta Program...
" When do you think you will get this rolling into action?
The applications will start in the next day or so, and the first beta driver will be available before this week is over.
Can you explain the driver protection routines you are putting into place to ensure leaks dont happen?
Each beta tester will have their own driver. So for example if there are 50 beta testers there will also be 50 unique drivers. If a driver ever leaks we know exactly who is responsible for the leak, and can take the necessary action. I haven?t finalized the rules yet but any beta tester found to have leaked a driver will immediately be removed from the beta program and may potentially face a breach of NDA suit."

[rant] I cant believe people still make comments about ATI's driver support. People saw that ATI's drivers were less stable than nVidia's like 2 years ago, and still adopt the same reasoning for today's products...ignoring any review or praise for their curently flawless driver support. It's a shame.. [/rant] |
