Microsoft?s global influence is second-to-none. As a company, its products have revolutionized the consumer computer market by bringing an easy graphic interface to the masses. But really, that?s ancient history ? where does Vista fit into that legacy? There?s no doubt that Microsoft has had an effect on the computer market that could really only be referred to as ?global.? Taking inspiration from the Unix and Apple interfaces, the company produced a stable operating system that changed the world of computing forever.

there is no innovation to write home about, the very first real vista beta was innovative and mainly because of WINFS they removed it because 'it was not finished yet' could be true, I never monitored the winfs dev blog however it could also have other more commercial reasons in any case, the current windows vista is mainly a nice shell the next windows will prolly be innovative again(if windows ever was) using winfs/or a derivative and with a large part of it's functionality webbased it could even have a smaller footprint then vista and will use a different update system then we use today like ms money |
