UT2003 Software Renderer

Posted by: NewsFactory on: 05/21/2003 03:22 PM [ Print | 13 comment(s) ] · 1825 views

Just spotted this at Planetunreal.com:

The The Unreal Technology Page has a new RAD Pixomatic-based software renderer for UT2003. It's designed for those of you with low resolutions and crappy PC's.

"crappy PC's" ???
That's going to make those who can't afford a top notch machine feel real good!!! Nice going there.

Quite right. Some places sell P4 3ghz PC's with TNT cards in, hardly a 'crappy PC' but could use an upgraded card !

Crappy PC's? I think trying to render UT2003 in software mode would probably bring down my 1800+ XP at 640x480

you know some laptops doesnt come with a nvidia or ati gfx accelerator. but isnt crappy because of that, the intnded purpose of the machine is just something other than gaming... this driver might be nice for those people.

think outside of your own little box guys.

Yes El Coyote thats true but it is NOT what he meant, your point is valid but don't use it as an excuse for the original intention behind the post.

So?? What is your point? Do you mean that who ever read and decided to post it here word by word didn't had judgement enought to realize it was wrong?
Well maybe someone should be very carefull then with what he posts, next time could be some racial slur or something ?

Most ppl I know with a "crappy pc" are the first ones to openly admit their pc is crappy..

If your pc really is "crappy" you will know it, and this renderer may help you.

I'm glad someone is looking out for the ppl with crappy comps, cause I got one myself... lol

So I suppose that, in keeping with political correctness, they should be called "speed challenged PCs". Is that better?

Man, lighten up, people! If you're taking offense at the reference to "crappy PC" then you really need to switch to decaff.
