Upgrade For 2.4x DVD+RW Recorders To Support 4x Media

Thanks to the guy's at CDFreaks.com for sending over this interesting piece of info:

The DVDRW Alliance has posted an article on their website in which they announce that first and second generation 2.4x DVD+RW recorders could have some problems with current high-speed 4x DVD+R(W) media.

Via a simple firmware upgrade this problem can be solved, meaning that 2.4x drives will be able to write correctly to 4x media: Via the DVDRW Alliance website you can select the manufacturer of your 2.4x DVD+RW recorder and check if there is a firmware upgrade available.

For more info warp2 CDFreaks.com or check with the DVDRW Alliance website directly via this link.
