3dfxzone.it has posted a screenshot of Unreal Tournament, the first title of UT series. That image was captured at 1280x1024 video resolution, using a 3dfx Voodoo5 5500 PCI card and running Microsoft Windows Professional x64 OS with latest SFFT alpha 37 driver. Unreal Tournament was launched via Direct3D and at this moment it's playable in window mode only. The SFFT alpha 37 driver is the first SFFT release with Unified Architecture.

I suppose the 4 people out there that still run a Voodoo 5 is jumping up and down right about now... :P Seriously though, seems like a lot of work just to get some seriously old games to run badly. |

I don't see the point either I'm a graphics junkie and my UT1 graphics blow this away In fact I haven't seen anyone yet with better UT1 graphics So, I don't really get it either, sure it's nice for some but still... BTW if anyone wants to play UT1 in HD(just to get an impression) search the web for new 3D, OpenGL engines and tweaks for this game. Maybe thee are similar engines and tweaks available for newer UT versions but I don't play those so I wouldn't really know. |
