The first public beta release of the Unreal 2 XMP Community Pack has been released!
The pack contains the following maps:

With the exception of XMP-CBP-BETA-Apophis this map pack is awsome, a fitting upgrade of mutators and maps for one of the best free games I have ever played, and to think it's still just beta, I haven't found a single glich anywhere but the Apophis map just flat out sux to high heaven, nice visuals but horrid gameplay, way too many hills, bumps,water and other things to slow down gameplay, not to mention water is rarely used in xmp with any effectiveness. If anyone reading this has not tried XMP yet I urge you to download it now, it is a free game but you must have the unreal2 play cd for it to install, there is a free demo available that doesn't require the cd and it's available at unreal2.com. The game is a lot like team fortress, it is completely team based with 3 player classes that are perfectly balanced and included vehicles such as tanks and jeeps etc. Be sure to go through the entire tutorial before playing online or else you may be lost and clueless and not want to play it again, the tutorial is very important. |
