Unofficial Mandrake Linux 9.2 ISOs (4 CDs) are now available for download.
"Warning: Mandrake92-update* files are unofficial. The files never be released officialy. May be it's impossible to install from this isos it never be tested. On other side, updates to 2003/10/23 && more languages are integrated. Using the files is your risk."

I didnt post this since i didnt know if it was entirely legal (Mandrakesoft hasnt released 9.2 to other than paying costumers yet). |

It is perfectly legal. The packages are available on Mandrake FTPs and you can without any problem create ISOs from those updated packages. It is a free Linux world afteral. |

Actually FYI it was illegal for Mandrake to withhold distributing the 9.2 release in the first place. Mandrake is now proudly proclaiming on their 9.2 page how Mandrake 9.2 is made up of "completely Free and redistributable software". Being that's the case it was illegal for Mandrake to only allow paying members to download the "completely Free" version. I don't appreciate Mandrake taking software I've written under the GPL and then trying to prevent redistribution of it. For future reference just remember one thing. If the software is GPL NO person or company has the right to restrict redistribution of the software. People who tried to prevent distribution of Mandrake 9.2 were acting illegally. Those who download the free 9.2 edition via Bittorrent etc were completely in the right. |
