OCIA.net checks out the Transcend Xabre 400 Video Card in their latest review. Below is a direct quote from the review:
"NVIDIA and ATI. Not too many people know of (or care about) other graphics chipset manufacturers. Well, among the lesser known manufacturers lies SiS. Yes, the same manufacturer many of you know for their northbridge chipsets on motherboards. Today we will take a look at Transcend's Xabre 400 graphics card. This card has been on the market for a while, but lets see if it can still be a viable alternative for someone looking to save a few bucks."

From the Conclusion: With all the problems I encounted on newly released drivers (March 8, 2003), I find it hard to recommend this card to anyone other than someone looking for a cheap option for a non-gamer (aka, family members). Priced around 50 dollars, its a very inexpensive video card, but as its said, "You get what you pay for." For now, I will be sticking with video cards with a NVIDIA graphic chipset. What would you expect from a SiS videocard anyway? For now, I will be sticking with video cards with a NVIDIA graphic chipset. Your loss, buddy |
