These are not vulnerabilities in itself: you cannot gain access or elevate priviledges but I just wanted to let you know that these programmers did a sloppy job. haha who the hell types weird shit in the command prompt... oh wait NO ONE. useless info.. |

omg111!!111 windows is sloppily written; I never knew! What a revelation! No shit windows is sloppily written -- everyone knows windows is sloppily written. It's been painfully obvious since the first version of windows was ever released. OMG! I FOUND ANOTHER ONE - If I type 'notepad AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA' - It tries to load notepad, and open a file with loads of A's in it! Of course, this proves about as much as your little line does - That some programs, when run, load while ignoring strings of random paramaters. |

Well, there goes the credability of GameGuru Mania. This is senseless information. |

I frequently use the CYGWIN bash shell at the command prompt. These commands definitely can qualify as "weird". Useful though. |

Nice example, really, thank you! I can clearly see the similarity of manually deleting critical system files and checking programs for errors in their string handling procedures... I mean, both could be used to pass code straight into the memory, right? Oh no wait, that's not true in your example.. *****, I guess that makes you a ranting fool... And you were so damn close to being a genius. Sidenote: I don't give a shit if it finds vulnerabilities or not |

What a waste of bandwidth. This story is pure crap. Looks like someone has too much time on their hands. |

thank you! my point exactly; if this was a flaw which was activated through another software; then it would be newsworthy; not it's just the same thing as manually deleting system files, I don't see you doing it? neither do I see you running any of the commands lines shown in the story.. |

The software is so complex and so large there are always going to be bugs..... no one can write bug free software of that magnitude. This is amplified because so many people use the software. e.g people use all sorts of variations of settings etc. Therefore more bugs are found. Also with 99% of people using MS products ....then its obvious that 99% of d*ckhe*d script kidiies and hackers aim their talents at MS products... because it does the most damage. Thats why............................................ only kids and people who have more teeeth than brain cells think otherwise. |
