Today 3DXtreme has the pleasure of reviewing a gaming device for the hardcore in the Mystify Claw. Everyone is trying to make the gaming experience easier and more ergonomic and that?s where the Mystify Claw comes in. But do these devices really make the gaming experience better or is the learning curve of getting used to something new not worth the hassle? Let?s have a look?

I like the idea. A full-handed mouse with a lot of (easy to reach/use) buttons is a welcome idea. I think something like that combined with some kind of analog pad or stick in the other hand is pretty idea. It's the one area where the keyboard fails...analog movement.

Why wuold anyone ever buy such a bad looking, button-lacking, did I mentioned bad looking?, piece of hardware when you can get a Belkin Nostromo N52 Speedpad ?? The N52 is light years ahead of this "thing" in all aspects.

I was under the impression that this replaced MOUSE functionality, not for the keyboard.
I think you could theoretically use both.
I still think some kind of analog pad in the left hand and a mouse with a ton of buttons in the right is the way to go. The keyboard is the weak link in PC gaming.

No this is not to replace a mouse, it is just a bad looking hand rest with a misely few buttons.
The combo you mention is what I use already, a Logitech G5 mouse and the N52 which with state keys triples the key available, it also has a stunning macro recorder, I use it for everyting from gamaing to Photoshop, Maya and others. As a bonus on the N52 you get a scrool/zoom wheel and an analog D pad!! Worth every penny it costs!
This makes the N52 stand like a spacesphi near a Mystify Claw 2 sticks tied with some rope.

Yeah JC's right, this thing doesn't even compare to the N52, I've had my N52 for about 1-1/2 years and I wouldn't know what to do without it. The only complaint I have is they haven't updated the software in ages win xp 64bit support would be nice.
